Elokuva-arvostelu:
The Accountant 2 on jatko-osa toimintaelokuvalle Accountant vuodelta 2016. Elokuva seuraa autistista palkkatappajaa, jonka peitehenkilöllisyys on kirjanpitäjä Christian Wolff. Roolissa nähdään Ben Affleck.
Accountant 2 alkaa ammuskeluvälikohtauksella bingohallissa, jossa tutustutaan uuteen mystiseen naispuoliseen palkkatappajaan (Daniella Pineda), jonka jäljittäminen ja henkilöllisyyden selvittäminen on elokuvan pääjuoni. Sivujuonteena tutustutaan syvemmin elokuva sarjan edellisessä jaksossa tutuiksi tulleisiin henkilöhahmoihin kuten Christian Wolffin veljeen Braxtoniin (Jon Bernthal) ja liittovaltion agenttiin Marybeth Medinaan (Cynthia Addai-Robinson). Jatko-osa on tunnelmaltaan hieman kevyempi ja paikoitellen komediallisempi kuin ensimmäinen Accountant -elokuva. Braxton on hahmona hieman yksiulotteinen ja hänen tehtävänään on toimia Affleckin näyttelemän Christianin vastinparina. Parhaimmat kohtaukset elokuvassa ovatkin veljesten välisiä dialogeja ja Christian hahmon kehityksen seuraamista. Hän hyötyy ammatissaan neuroepätyypillisyydestään, mutta yksityiselämässään ja henkilökohtaisissa ihmissuhteissa ominaisuudesta on haittaa.
Kohtaus missä neurodiversiset nuoret etsivät tietoverkostoista epäillyn henkilön identiteettiä oli hyvin toteutettu ja erityisryhmää voimaannuttava. Yltiöhyveellinen liittovaltion agentti Medina yritti estellä nuorten hakkerointia kun todellisuudessa USA:n virastot mielellään urkkivat tavallistenkin kansalaisten tietoja.
Accountant 2 on oikein viihdyttävä ja menevä toimintapläjäys. Braxtonin jotkut Taksikuskimaiset kohtaukset olivat hieman päälleliimatun oloisia, mutta hahmo lunasti paikkansa elokuvassa varsinkin elokuvan viimeisessä kohtauksessa jossa kovankin jätkän silmät kostuivat.

Accountant 2 (2025)
The Accountant 2 is a sequel to the 2016 action film Accountant. The film follows an autistic hitman who takes on the identity of accountant Christian Wolff. The role is played by Ben Affleck.
Accountant 2 begins with a shooting incident in a bingo hall, where we are introduced to a new mysterious female hitman (Daniella Pineda), whose tracking and identification is the main plot of the film. As a side plot, we get to know more about the characters we became familiar with in the previous installment of the film series, such as Christian Wolff's brother Braxton (Jon Bernthal) and federal agent Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson). The sequel is a bit lighter in atmosphere and at times more comedic than the first Accountant film. Braxton is a bit one-dimensional as a character and his task is to act as a counterpart to Affleck's Christian. The best scenes in the film are the dialogues between the brothers and the development of Christian's character. He benefits from his neurotypicality in his profession, but in his private life and personal relationships, the trait is a disadvantage.
The scene where neurodiverse young people search the information networks for the identity of a suspect was well-executed and empowering for the special group. The overly virtuous federal agent Medina tried to prevent the young people from hacking when in reality, US agencies are happy to spy on the information of ordinary citizens.
Accountant 2 is a very entertaining and enjoyable action thriller. Some of Braxton's Taxi Driver-like scenes were a bit too much, but the character earned his place in the film, especially in the last scene of the film where even the tough guy's eyes got wet.
